The members’ meeting for the account year 2024/2025 takes place on July 4, 2025 at 14:00.
Exkursion to Valeo
On October 18, 2024, an excursion to the Valeo research and development center in Kronach-Neuses took place. At the Valeo Brain Division, the participants were given an insight into the latest developments in driver assistance systems through presentations and demonstrations. The participants also had the opportunity to drive a car remotely around the factory premises using a telematics system. After lunch in Kronach, the group visited Rosenberg Castle. During a guided tour, the participants of the excursion learned how the baroque fortress has withstood military attacks over the centuries.

Exkursion zu Dallmeier electronics
On Nov. 10th 2024, an excursion to Dallmeier electronic in Regensburg, which develops and manufactures video-based surveillance system, took place. The excursion was completed by a visit of the Hofbräuhaus Regensburg and a guided city tour.

As part of the EMSig Colloquium 2023, the EMSig Thesis Awards have been awarded for outstanding thesis works at the LMS.
Marc Windsheimer received the Best Master Thesis Award 2023 for his master thesis entitled „A Multiscale Approach for Augmented Normalizing Flows for Image Compression“.
Paul Wawerek-López received the Best Bachelor Thesis Award 2023 for this bachelor thesis entitled „Emulation of Image Artifacts by Learning in the Frequency Domain“.

Excursion to Audi
On November 29th 2019, a visit to the car manufacturer Audi in Ingolstadt took place. The 22 participants attended a factory tour which provided insights about the just-in-time production process at Audi.

On November 22nd 2018, a visit to the airport Nuremberg took place. The 21 participants attended a guided tour which provided insights about the internal processes of the airport.

An excursion to the BR in Nuremberg took place on Sept. 5th,2017. The 21 participants got thereby an insight into the production of the local radio and TV program for the region of Franconia.

The EMSig Thesis Awards were awarded for the first time as part of the Annual EMSig Meeting 2017 for outstanding thesis works at the LMS.
Nils Genser received the Best Master Thesis Award 2017 for his Master thesis entitled “Developing a Fixed-Point Realization of Frequency Selective Extrapolation”.
The Best Bachelor Thesis Award 2017 recieved Jan-Nico Zäch for his Bachelor thesis entitled “The Ghost Source Phenomenon in the Image Plane of the SKA” as well as Jasper Podschus for his Bachelor thesis entitled “Extension of a Robust Freqeuency-invariant Beamformer Design to Three-dimensional Microphone Arrays”.
