The course Multidimensional Signals and Systems I  by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Rudolf Rabenstein  was ranked third out of 52 courses in the teaching evaluation of the School of Engineering in winter term 2013/14, with an overall rating of 1.21 in the category electives (VW10).

The Tutorium Signals and Systems I, carried out by Dominic Springer and eight students of FAU, was ranked second place out of 26 courses in the evaluation of the School of Engineering in winter term 2013/14, with an overall rating of 1.44 in the category Exercises for Required Subjects (ÜP20).

The lecture Signals and Systems I given by Prof. Dr.-Ing. André Kaup was ranked first out of 32 courses in the teaching evaluation of the School of Engineering in winter term 2013/14, with an overall rating of 1.38 in the category required subjects (VP20).

The lecture Visual Computing for Communication given by Prof. Dr.-Ing. André Kaup was ranked first out of 55 courses in the teaching evaluation of the School of Engineering in winter term 2013/14, with an overall rating of 1.07 in the category elective subjects (VW5).

The 8. Workshop on Multidimensional Systems (nDS13) has been conducted in Erlangen from Sep 9-11, 2013. 41 participants from 12 countries (Europe, Africa, America) presented 37 contributions. The Proceedings are available from the VDE Publishing House and later also from IEEE Xplore.

The lecture Transformations in Signal Processing given by Dr.-Ing. Jürgen Seiler was ranked third out of 63 courses in the teaching evaluation of the School of Engineering in summer term 2013, with an overall rating of 1.13 in the category elective subjects (VW5).

The lecture Image and Video Compression given by Prof. Dr.-Ing. André Kaup was ranked second out of 71 courses in the teaching evaluation of the School of Engineering in summer term 2013, with an overall rating of 1.29 in the category required subjects (VP5).
