Effective January 1, 2023, Walter Kellermann is a member of the Fellow Evaluation Committee of the  IEEE Signal Processing Society, which evaluates the nominations to IEEE Fellow for the IEEE Signal Processing Society.

As an IEEE Fellow since 2008 and after recently reaching the age of 65, Walter Kellermann has been appointed to IEEE Life Fellow effective January 1, 2023.

Our colleague Thomas Haubner investigates the audio quality in teleconferencing scenarios, in which multiple participants are sitting in the same room. For this application, he developed an algorithm that can effectively suppress reverberation, echoes, and noise.

For good teaching in the summer term 2022, the LMS received two awards from the student's evaluation.
